We got one in the shop today that is cracked at the top of the cylinder through the deck to a coolant passage. It extends about 1 " into the cylinder. Customer wants to save the block with a sleeve, but man the skirts on these cylinders are thin thin thin. Has anyone had any succes with these? I always get nervous on the first one of some jobs.

Sonic test the lower part of The bore to be sure there is enough material to support a sleeve. You may have to stop a bit shorter like a 1/2" from the bottom and use a flanged top sleeve to make it work.
