If your trucking customer is complaining about his Cat engine misfiring under heavy load, he could have warped injector seats, which allows combustion gases to come up past the seat, and deteriorate the bottom fuel O-ring, allowing combustion to get into the fuel passage in the head. This will cause 1 or more of the injectors to misfire.
Cat's only repair for this problem, is to replace the head. Rutts Machine can come to your shop, and remachine the injector seats in the head, while head is still installed. This will save the immense expense of replacing the head, and also allows for minimal downtime. Call Don at 717-368-8532
